Jelscha Schmid, geb. 1992, studierte Philosophie und englische Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität Basel. 2015 schloss sie ihr Studium mit einer Arbeit zu Heidegger und der Philosophie der Psychiatrie ab. Die Promotion erfolgte an der ETH Zürich (Prof. Dr. Michael Hampe) mit der Arbeit The Experiment of Reason: Kant, Maimon and Schelling on Metaphilosophy-first. Von 2018-2019 absolvierte sie ein Jahr als visiting assistant in research an der Yale University (Prof. Dr. Paul Franks). Seit September 2020 ist sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Theoretische Philosophie (Prof. Dr. Markus Wild).
